Books have the power to transport us to magical worlds, spark our imagination, and help us learn new things. At Kidoz Montessori School, Chennai, we made World Book Day an unforgettable experience filled with excitement, laughter, and, of course, plenty of books!
A Day of Storybook Magic!
The day kicked off with our little bookworms dressing up as their favorite characters from classic and modern tales. From wizards and superheroes to fairy tale princesses and talking animals, our school transformed into a lively storybook world! The excitement was contagious as children proudly showcased their costumes and spoke about their favorite characters.
Bringing Books to Life
Many children brought their favorite books from home, eager to share their beloved stories with friends. We gathered in cozy reading corners, turning pages together, giggling at funny moments, and gasping at exciting plot twists. The joy of reading was truly in the air!
A Special Storytelling Surprise!
To make the day even more special, our Montessori adults put on a storytelling session that had the children completely hooked! With expressive voices and animated gestures, they brought stories to life, making the characters leap off the pages. The children sat wide-eyed, hanging onto every word, proving just how powerful a good story can be.
Unfolding the Magic of Books
One of the biggest highlights of the day was exploring a fold-out book! With every page that unfolded, new surprises and hidden treasures were revealed. The children loved discovering the unique storytelling format, sparking their curiosity and wonder.
Creating Lifelong Readers
World Book Day at Kidoz Montessori School was a wonderful reminder of how books open up a world of possibilities.
